A rich history graces Shangri-La Villa, which was commissioned by none other than Harry Llewellyn, a distinguished equestrian whose son, Roddy, was once engaged to Princess Margaret. This villa holds a special place in the hearts of royalty, with the Princess Margaret Room dedicated to her numerous stays en route to Mustique.

The journey to Shangri-La commences with a majestic 75ft. drive lined by stately Mahogany trees and towering ferns. The property's enchanting gardens, resplendent with tropical flora and fruit-bearing trees, encircle the house in the style of a traditional Spanish Hacienda.

The Great Room welcomes you with double doors, flanked by bronze pineapple sconces, leading into the Grand Salon Sala Manjer. Crystal Versailles chandeliers grace both ends of the room, illuminating a tray ceiling. To one side, you'll find a comfortable living area with plush sofas and lounge chairs, while French doors open to an adjacent gazebo with a soothing fountain. On the opposite side, a dining area awaits, complete with a mirrored buffet, ideal for hosting elegant dinners and afternoon English tea. A plantation-style desk seamlessly unites these areas, inviting you to savor the gentle trade winds and the boundless Caribbean Sea.

As you pass through large Mahogany louvered doors, the courtyard and loggia beckon, furnished with upholstered sofas and chairs, and a dining/game table. Ceiling fans with chandelier lights hark back to the Colonial era. At the heart of the courtyard, a three-tiered coral stone fountain adorned with carved dolphins takes center stage. Beyond the gates lies a patio enveloping the expansive swimming pool, offering an array of comfortable seating options, including sofas, chairs, lounges, and sun umbrellas for your comfort.

The kitchen, conveniently situated next to the media room, boasts large work counters on either side, centered around a granite-topped island. The array of amenities includes a large refrigerator with an ice maker, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, maid's quarters, and even an herb garden.

The media room/bar is equipped with an LCD flat-screen television, Blu-ray/DVD player, stereo, and CD player, all seamlessly integrated into a custom-designed cabinet. Plush seating, including an upholstered sectional sofa and chairs, invites you to relax and enjoy the provided collection of videos, DVDs, and CDs, as well as games and cards. This room features a generously-sized bar, perfect for cocktails and conversations, with an adjacent powder room for your convenience.

The White Room
Adjacent to the media room, this room offers a queen-size bed adorned with billowing white sheers, alongside tropical bedside tables and a colonial-style mahogany desk and chair.

The Polo Room
Two single beds, mahogany furniture, and a bureau distinguish this room with a polo-inspired decor. Mahogany pocket doors open to the garden and pool, affording a view of the sea. An LCD flat-screen TV with a DVD player and stereo are provided. These two bedrooms are located in the south wing of the villa and share a splendid marble bathroom.

The Princess Margaret Room
Situated in the north wing, this room is adorned with two canopy twin beds, an LCD flat-screen television, and a DVD player. The private en suite bathroom features marble counters, floors, and a shower, enhanced with gold fittings. Skylights flood the room with sunlight during the day and offer views of the moon and stars at night. This royal room dedicated to Princess Margaret opens into a private gazebo.

The Master Bedroom
Offering a queen-size canopy bed with a meticulously carved India-style headboard, alongside large bamboo side tables, this room carries an international flair. Two upholstered wingback chairs provide an inviting space to unwind.
